Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s journey in Bollywood is nothing short of a film itself. From manifesting owning one of the most sought-after properties in Mumbai to becoming the biggest star of the industry, the actor has truly come far. In a recent interview, producer Viveck Vaswani sat down to discuss the actor, and he shared a rather interesting story about how actor Hema Malini signed Shah Rukh for the film Dil Aashna Hai despite first calling him ‘very ugly’. The filmmaker also recalled seeing Dharmendra there, dressed in a silk kurta and lungi.

To celebrate Shah Rukh’s 60th birthday, Viveck Vaswani met with Radio Nasha and shared several anecdotes from the actor’s career. He recalled the time when the actor was living with him and was still trying to get his first break. It was during this time that Viveck got an unexpected call from Hema Malini, and it’s safe to say that neither Shah Rukh nor Viveck was prepared for what she had to say.
