Getting a puppy when you are a kid can feel like a dream come true. For 11-year-old Elijah, a boy battling a brain tumour, this small dream turned into reality thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Elijah had always wanted a corgi puppy, which he wanted to name Tucker. A video of Elijah meeting Tucker for the first time is going viral on Twitter. The boy is seen bursting into tears of happiness before holding the puppy in his arms.

This sweet reaction video was first posted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation on February 20 to mark National Love Your Pet Day, and it soon began circulating across social media platforms.

On Wednesday, the popular Twitter account Goodable (@Goodable) reshared the video. So far it has got over 3.5 lakh likes.

“That love, that happiness, has the power to heal, that’s a special bond, you can do it Elijah, and with your cuddly new puppy. ❤️ ” a Twitter user commented. Another user remarked, “This is amazing. What animals can do for the human spirit is unbelievable. Sometimes we take them for granted, but they are amazing companions and ask for nothing but to be loved. The love they return is tenfold.”
