Top 10 most-liked Instagram posts as of 2024: Social media has become an indispensable part of our lives today, transforming the way people communicate and connect across the globe.
With the rise of diverse platforms dominating the online space, Instagram stands out as a highly popular and influential platform, rising to become the fourth-most popular social media platform as of 2024.
With its diverse range of content, Instagram attracts approximately 2 billion users worldwide and consistently sets new standards for engagement, with record-breaking posts that captivate millions across the globe.
As of 2024, its most-liked posts showcase moments that resonated deeply with audiences, from global milestones to personal achievements.
Among these, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s post celebrating the men’s team’s ICC T20 World Cup victory has become the most-liked Instagram post from India.
At the time of publishing, Kohli’s post received more than 18.5 million likes, surpassing the wedding photo of Bollywood actors Kirani Advani and Sidharth Malhotra.
Unsurprisingly, the football champion and star, Lionel Messi, dominates Instagram’s most-liked posts with his record-breaking World Cup victory post, which has garnered over 75 million likes.
Messi also has 504 million followers on Instagram, making his account the second most followed on the platform.
One must not assume that only celebrities have the most-liked Instagram photos.
Interestingly, despite having a relatively small following, a photo of an egg achieved the most likes on Instagram, gathering around 60 million likes in 1,436 days before Lionel Messi’s post surpassed it.
Furthermore, Instagram user jiangzibin24 shared a video of a sunset, which is not just one of the most-liked Instagram photos but also the most-liked reel on the site.
