Winter is almost here, this also means extreme levels of air pollution in most parts of the country. While the government is taking several measures to reduce air pollution, especially in highly populated cities like New Delhi and Mumbai, there is only one way to improve air quality in our homes. This is essentially by investing in a good quality air purifier.

Over the last few years, the demand for good air purifiers has seen massive growth in India, resulting in the launch of smart purifiers by various brands that are both cost-effective and efficient at keeping indoor air clean, and breathable.

Here are a few things to consider while buying a smart air purifier this winter:

Always consider a purifier from a reputed brand

If you are planning to invest in a good air purifier, it is best to consider one from a reputed brand. This ensures that the product is built to specs and will last longer. Another advantage of considering a purifier from a reputed brand is to ensure the availability of consumables. Most air purifiers come with a filter, which has to be changed, and sticking to a reputed brand ensures that there will be plenty of spares available even after a few years.

Consider the right size/model

Smart air purifiers come in all shapes and sizes, while the one from a premium brand like Dyson looks like a piece of art, air purifiers from brands like Xiaomi look like a cute box. And in most scenarios, a bigger air purifier will also be able to clean the air much more quickly. Hence, depending on the size of your home or office, have a close look at the capacity of the air purifier and choose the one that suits your requirements.

A smart air purifier would be an advantage

While smart air purifiers are slightly more expensive than regular air purifiers, getting a smart one will offer added advantages. This includes real-time air quality monitoring, remote control access from a phone, the ability to check filter health, and the control of the air purifier via a smart hub.
