Mixboard, a new experimental AI-powered tool from Google, is intended to assist users in ideation and brainstorming. The tool functions similar to a digital mood board, allowing users to create project inspiration by combining text and images. Additionally, it gets Google’s Nano Banana AI model integration for editing.

Mixboard positions itself as a creative platform similar to Pinterest but with AI at its core. Instead of only collecting existing content, users can also generate unique visuals and text using Google’s tools. This makes Mixboard useful for things like home decor planning and event themes, to DIY projects and product concepts.

Mixboard allows users to create graphics using AI or upload their own photos. they may mix new AI-generated material with their own references due to this flexibility.

They can may make minor adjustments by inputting instructions into Google’s new picture editing model, Nano Banana. For instance, the user doesn’t need to be skilled in design to merge photographs or change details.

Options like “regenerate” and “more like this” allow them to quickly explore different versions of their ideas. It is said to be a simple way to refine concepts and see alternatives.
