Top-end smartphones:

The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, followed by Samsung’s Galaxy S6 edge + and the Galaxy Note 5 are on this list. These phones cost well above Rs 50,000, but they are worth your money.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

Just the battery life of the phone makes it among the best smartphones in the market. It also has one of the best cameras in the business and, of course, an overall experience that showcases the power of its A9 processor and robustness of the platform. The iPhone 6s Plus starts at Rs 72,000 going all the way to 92,000.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

This phone is for the compulsive note takers and doodlers. They will adore this phone.

The Galaxy Note 5 is the phablet from Samsung that originally sparked the big-screen mania. If you want a phone that makes you more productive, then the Note 5 with its new advance S-Pen is the device for you. This smartphone is also our top choice when it comes to performance. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

If you are looking for a top of the shelf phone that you can use effectively, then the S6 edge + is one of the best options in the market.

Mid-budget smartphones

Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with a Snapdragon 615 processor and a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 is touted as the slimmest ‘Galaxy’ phone till now as it is only 5.9mm thick — even the Samsung flagship Galaxy S6 is 6.8 mm.

LG Nexus 5X

The best part of the Nexus 5X story is Android Marshmallow. The new Android operating system changes the equation altogether.

The Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch Full-HD display with Corning Glass 3 protection. In our review, we noted that the Android Marshmallow experience, a great camera, fast fingerprint scanner make the Nexus 5X a delight.

Moto X Style

Moto X Style is another mid-budget phone you can consider.

As we noted in our review, the Moto X Style is Motorola’s best smartphone till date. If you want a large, crisp display and fancy that 21MP camera, Moto X Style makes a great option but its unpredictable battery performance makes it fall short of being perfect. Read our full review here.

The top ‘Affordable smartphones’

Moto X Play

Moto X Play offers a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, which should delight you.

Moto X Play offers a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, which should delight users. The colours and viewing angles are good. One Plus 2

OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 64GB version (Source: Debashis Sarkar)

One Plus 2 has been called the flagship killer for 2016, and comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

In our review, we noted that the camera performance of the smartphone is one of the best in the business, although we did face performance issues after some time.

Lenovo Vibe P1, P1m

Lenovo Vibe P1 and P1m are two new smartphones with amazing battery backup.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 and Lenovo Vibe P1M come with 5000mAh and 4000mAh batteries, respectively. The new phones have a toggle switch on the side to start the battery saver mode.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 will cost Rs 15,999 while the Vibe P1m will cost Rs 7,999 and will be available only on Flipkart. The P1m will be available via flash sale only while Vibe P1 will be in available in open sale. Registrations will start today for P1m and sale opens on October 28.
