Panasonic has announced the launch of its Eluga Ac2 smartphone in India at Rs 12,290. The smartphone is the first Panasonic device to feature metal and glass design.

Panasonic Eluga Arc2 is just 7.6 mm thick and is built with CNC machined aluminium alloy. The front and back of the device feature 2.5D curved Asahi Dragontrail glass which makes the device look elegant. Panasonic claims the glass is scratch resistant but it may not be fingerprint resistant. The smartphone weighs 147 grams.

Panasonic Eluga Arc2 features a 5-inch HD IPS display with maximum brightness of 500 nits for outdoor visibility under direct sunlight. The Panasonic Eluga Arc2 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Panasonic Eluga Arc2 features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The Dual-SIM smartphone also supports additional features like USB OTG. Panasonic Eluga Arc2 is backed by a 2,450mAh battery.

Panasonic Eluga Arc2 runs latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and supports 4G LTE. It seems only one SIM supports 4G while other SIM only supports 3G network. On the connectivity front, Panasonic Eluga Arc supports Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The smartphone also features light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer. The smartphone will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colour variant.
