Jos Buttler slammed a century in RR's win over RCB in IPL 2024. (BCCI)England opener Jos Buttler slammed his sixth IPL hundred in his 100th appearance during the Rajasthan Royals versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash in Jaipur on Saturday.
Buttler reached his hundred with a six as RR were left with one run to win in a 184-run chase in the final over. The English opener who had endured poor outings in the previous three matches, notched up his sixth ton for the Royals, equalling Chris Gayle for the second-most centuries in the IPL.

The 34-year-old did not have a single T20 ton in his career until 2021 when he slammed his maiden IPL ton for RR. Buttler followed it up with a spellbinding 2022 season where he notched up four hundreds, totalling 863 runs in the season.
Besides the six tons with his franchise, Buttler has a T20I century for England, achieving the feat during the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Buttler is the second batter after KL Rahul to score a hundred in their 100th appearance in the IPL.
Earlier, in the day, Virat Kohli had posted his eighth IPL century for RCB, extending the record. The duo marked the fifth instance of two hundreds in a single IPL match.
