Tamil Nadu Governor congratulates Pranab Mukherjee

Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your election as the President of India: Rosaiah.

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah today greeted UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee on his win in the Presidential elections,saying as the country’s 13th President,he would steer the nation to greater heights.

“Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your election as the President of India. Your rich acumen,vibrant knowledge,wealth of experience and foresight will steer our nation to greater heights and place it on a high pedestal among the comity of nations”,Rosaiah said.

“I wish you all success in your distinguished service to the nation”,he said in his message to Mukherjee.

The Supreme Court Monday issued notice on a plea seeking an independent and expeditious investigation into the June 12, 2025, crash of an Air India Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, which killed 260 people. The bench also termed as “unfortunate” media reports which indicated that “pilot error” was to blame for the crash, purportedly quoting some preliminary findings by the AAIB.
