Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday called upon the youth in Madhya Pradesh to enter politics and expressed hope that a day would come when young leadership would be at the forefront in the state.
Addressing a training camp of Youth Congress here,Gandhi said the party was encouraging youth and pointed out that the Dr Manmohan Singh-government has got a number of young ministers in it.
He said a day will come when young leadership would be at the forefront in Madhya Pradesh.
On the membership drive conducted by the youth wing of the party,he said the drive was a big success in Tamil Nadu as the organisation enrolled nearly 16,000 members in a state where the party had been reduced to almost nothing.
Taking a dig at the BJP,Rahul said that instead of supporting the Congress in its developmental schemes, the party is becoming an obstruction and issuing senseless statements.
