NaMo Tea has a rival: Rahul Milk

The party has launched a ‘Rahul Milk’ campaign in the district where 24 stalls have been set up so far to offer hot milk to people.

In a bid to counter “NaMo tea stalls” started by the BJP, the Congress is offering milk in the name of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in Gorakhpur.

The party has launched a ‘Rahul Milk’ campaign in the district where 24 stalls have been set up so far to offer hot milk to people.

The Congress workers are telling people visiting these stalls not to visit “NaMO tea stalls” as tea is harmful and milk is healthy.

At “Rahul Milk’ stalls, banners and flex boards have Rahul’s photographs and sport this slogan — “BJP ki zehreeli chai nahin, doodh pilayenge, desh ke naujawano ko pahalwan banayenge.”

As many as five stalls were put up Sunday.  “Today we opened more stalls in 19 blocks of Gorakhpur’s rural areas,” said Gorakhpur district Congress president Syed Jamal.

Jamal said: “Our message is clear that the BJP’s tea is spreading communal poison. Tea is a foreign beverage and even doctors ask you to avoid it. But milk is an Indian drink that builds health,” he said.

Party leaders claimed that at each of the 24 milk stalls, around 400 people drink milk every day.
