Supriya Sule NCP: Had three unstarred questions 8212; on increasing instances of attacks on foreign tourists, loss of life and property due to floods and mechanism of water-sharing between states. The Minister for Tourism said though 8220;public order8221; comes under the state list, the ministry has been in touch with other ministries and state governments to emphasise on the safety of tourists.
Jay Panda BJD: was running fever and did not attend house on Tuesday. He, however, had one starred question and four unstarred questions listed for various ministers. The Question Hour was disrupted and later the Upper House adjourned for the day.
Kanimozhi DMK: Her sole question was to suggest a national policy for revitalising inland water bodies, which she said were being ruined due to lack of upkeep. After the Rajya Sabha was adjourned, both Sule and Kanimozhi were seen at the Lok Sabha gallery watching Rail Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav presenting the Budget.
Lok Sabha:
Milind Deora cong: Had three questions listed against his name, two from Home Ministry and one from the HRD Ministry. He asked the Home Ministry whether there was a proposal from Tourism Ministry to relax entry restrictions in certain areas in the Northeast, Jammu and Kashmir, Andamans and the Lakshadweep islands. The Ministry replied that a comprehensive review of the protected area permit/restricted area permit was currently underway and specific proposals were under consideration of the ministry. He also asked the ministry whether alcoholism was rampant among BSF personnel.
Dushyant Singh bjp: asked the Commerce and Industry Ministry on the countries to which vegetables were being exported and foreign exchange being earned from them
Deepender Hooda Cong was present in the Lok Sabha during the Railway Budget and was later seen talking with other MPs in the Central Hall
Sukhbir Singh Badal sad was seen in the House for a brief while and was later spotted at the Akali rally in the capital
Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot sat side by side and were seen discussing as the Railway Budget was being presented. Jyotiraditya Scindia sat a few seats away from Rahul and Sachin during the entire Budget presentation. Jitin Prasad, Sandeep Dikshit, Manavendra Singh, Mehbooba Mufti, Akhilesh Yadav, Kuldeep Vishnoi and Priya Dutt were all present during the presentation of Railway Budget in the Lok Sabha Omar Abdullah National Conference was not in town and could not attend Parliament Naveen Jindal and Shamik Lahiri were not seen in Parliament and could not be contacted till the end of the day
