LG is poised to unveil the new addition of W6 Wallpaper OLED TV to its television lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 to be held from January 6-9 in Las Vegas. Ultra-thin and designed to sit nearly flush against the wall, the new model measures just 9 mm thick, while also delivering a major upgrade in brightness and colour performance compared with previous generations.
The W6 is built around an updated 4K OLED panel that LG claims is almost four times brighter than its conventional OLED displays. The boost comes from a combination of the company’s Brightness Booster Ultra and Hyper Radiant Colour technologies, which LG claims are intended to enhance highlights and expand colour intensity without sacrificing contrast.
One of the most notable upgrades is LG’s focus on reducing screen reflections. According to the company, the W6 uses a “reflection-free” coating with the lowest reflectance of any LG TV to date, a change aimed at improving viewing in brightly lit rooms.
The W6 will be offered in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes and continues LG’s push toward wireless living-room setups. A separate wireless connection box houses all the TV’s inputs and can be positioned up to 30 feet away from the screen, allowing for a cleaner wall-mounted look. The display itself still requires a direct power connection.
Performance-focused features remain a central part of the package. The W6 supports a 4K resolution at refresh rates of up to 165Hz and includes compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, along with an ultra-fast claimed pixel response time of 0.1 milliseconds. LG has also layered in software-driven features such as digital wallpapers and AI-powered tools for users who want to customise their viewing experience.
Despite its name, the W6 does not roll or retract. Instead, it marks the return of LG’s Wallpaper TV concept, which was shelved in 2020. LG said it has refined the mounting system, allowing the panel to sit tightly against the wall from edge to edge for a true picture-frame effect.
LG has not yet announced pricing or release dates for the W6 Wallpaper OLED TV, but more details are expected later in the year.
