
MUMBAI, July 25: Suburban services on the harbour segment of Western Railway WR were disrupted for about two hours this morning following the derailment of a tie-taping-machine TTM near Mahim station.
According to a WR spokesperson, the mobile tie-taping-machine derailed near the harbour section of Mahim crossover at about 5.50 am, following which the services on the harbour segment were paralysed.
Normalcy was restored at 7.40 am . The derailment affected the morning peak-hour traffic as trains leaving Andheri and Bandra for CST via the CR harbour line were delayed. However, the Virar-Churchgate traffic was not affected.
