Vintage bomb

INFANTA: A World War II vintage US Army bomb has been found by construction workers building a septic tank in this coastal town, police said. The bomb,1.5 metres long and weighing 150 pounds, was dug up inside a plot owned by Abello Quierrez of Barangay Poblacion Bantilan. The bomb was handed over by the local police to the Philippine Navy Bomb Disposal Unit for further verification.

NEW YORK: American teenagers are increasingly turning to a tranquiliser used to sedate animals before surgery for a new high, a report said on Monday. Use of Ketamine or quot;Special Kquot; as it is known in the dark alleys of New York has become very popular among the younger section in recent years, the report said. The report quoted officials as saying that Ketamine is a quot;getaway drugquot; which can lead to further experimentation with more potent narcotics. The drug is a quick acting quot;dissociativequot; used in cats prior to neutering operations and by researchers to calm monkeys and other animals before experiments.
