Workshop on std held

CHANDIGARH, Aug 19: About 600 cases of sexually transmitted diseases were reported during last year in the City.

The incidence of STD has increased by about 15 to 16 per cent, said Dr Vinita Gupta, a participant of the 3-day regional workshop for Training on Surveillance of Sexually Transmitted Diseases for Northern States, held at UT Guest House here today. Dr N C Bhargva, consultant, IMA , Delhi, stressed on the need to educate people about STD.
