CHANDIGARH, Oct 24: A seminar on quot;Health Awareness for women and motherhoodquot; was held on the last day of Women8217;s Fiesta 8217;99, at Leisure Valley, Sector 10.

The members on the panel who discussed the issue included Tejinder Minocha, secretary, Red Cross Society, Dr Ramneeq Sharma, secretary SURYA and Rachna Mehra, sales director of Lotus Education Network Private Limited. Minocha, stressing on the need to pay adequate attention on the well-being of women, said it is essential since the future of the child also depends on the mother.

quot;With the younger generation gaining information faster these days, parents should not overload them,quot; said Rachna Mehra. Bindu Anand, who held a Reiki stall, stressed on the holistic method of healing and relaxation. An interactive debate on women8217;s issues was held, in which issues related to marriage, single women and working women were discussed. The panel comprised artist Zoya Raikhy, model-turned- politician Shreshta Mehta, PU Department of English lecturer Sudeep Minhas and Reader of Department of Sociology, PU, Rajesh Gill.
