
CHANDIGARH, Sept 29: The UT Administration has reconstituted the Wildlife Advisory Board for the union territory.
Adviser to the UT Administrator is the chairman of the committee with the Secretary, Forests and Environment as the vice-chairman.
The objective of the board is to formulate the policy for protection and conservation of wildlife and specified plants in the areas declared as national parks and sanctuaries. The UT chief wildlife warden will be the member secretary of the committee. Chief wildlife wardens of Punjab and Haryana or their nominees will be among the members of the committee.
