PUNE, June 30: I was an ordinary child who ended up doing some very wild things as a teenager because there was nothing really to being ordinary. You know how youth is. It was the unexpected consequences of my actions, its repercussions on my family that mended my ways.

When I think of my reactions to situations, I consider myself a man of many moods. There are times I get angry, and at other times, it is an acceptance of the outcome – a sort of `no use crying over spilt milk’! At times, it’s the trivial things that get you to react. Once I put a Rs 100 note in my pocket along with my mobile, and just when it rang, I took it out and off flew the note. There was nothing to do, not even curse my luck.

That apart, I am glad to have gone through some upheavals in life. It has taught me to learn to live well. For stagnation itself is a disease. The philosophy of `this too shall pass’ has inculcated an attitude of positivity. There is no turning back. One realises that there comes a time when you hit rock bottom. You have to trust yourself to recover, and let others help you. Strangely, your own intelligence can be destructive because your ego does not permit you to say `I give up’. When you move from there, it is victory in defeat.
