Tata Motors Ltd will do everything it can to roll out its super-cheap Nano car as close to the planned October launch as possible after having to stop work at its West Bengal factory, Chairman Ratan Tata said on Thursday.
8220;We obviously want to launch as we had planned. And we8217;ll do everything possible to come as close to the planned launch as we possibly can,8221; Tata said at an industry conference.
A dispute over land given to the firm in Singur forced Tata Motors, India8217;s top vehicle maker, to suspend work late on Tuesday at the plant where it planned to build the Nano, billed as the world8217;s cheapest car.
