Will be happy if front comprising DMDK is formed: DMK

Virtually sending feelers to actor-politician Vijayakants DMDK,DMK chief M Karunanidhi Wednesday said he will be happy if a front comprising the two parties is formed for next years Lok Sabha polls.

He was responding to queries by journalists on the reported remarks made by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thol Thirumavalavan about the DMK leading a front of parties including the DMDK. The VCK is DMKs ally.

That is indicative of his (Thirumalavan) good intentions. I will be happy if there is such an opportunity, Karunanidhi said.

The DMDK had been an ally of Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK during the 2011 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu but had parted ways later.
