United Breweries net profit at Rs 98 cr

Total income from operations for the company stood at Rs 1,225.82 crore for the April-June quarter of 2012-13 financial year as against Rs 952.54 crore in the same quarter last fiscal,UBL said in a BSE filing.

Millennium Beer Industries,United Millennium Breweries,UB Nizam Breweries,Chennai Breweries and UB Ajanta Breweries have been amalgamated with the company on various dates during the previous financial year,it added.

8220;The figures for the quarter ended June 30,2012 are not comparable with those of corresponding periods of the previous year,8221; the filing added.

The company said strong beer brands continue to drive its overall volumes,with a growth rate of 23 per cent,while the mild beer volumes declined by 9 per cent in line with the market.
