The China threat

Last weeks interaction of the DGPs on the premises of the Research amp; Analysis Wing,Indias premier external intelligence agency,was somewhat dominated by National Security Advisor M K Narayanan. Frustrated with provocative media reports on China,the NSA is believed to have objected to the description of the Chinese threat as a dragon in the agencys presentation. His point was that such representations overplay the threat and needlessly dramatise the situation. As it turns out,this was also the day when he met the Chinese Ambassador.
