Terror plot: 11 in cops custody

The 11 suspects in an alleged plot to attack media persons and politicians in Karnataka were remanded in police custody till September 13 by a Bangalore court Friday even as their connections to terror groups like the LeT and the HuJI remained unclear.

The 11 suspects,including a journalist,a doctor,a defence engineer were arrested by the Bangalore police Wednesday night on the basis of information provided by the Andhra Pradesh counter intelligence wing.

The police had declared that the youths aged between 25 to 28 and hailing largely from the north Karnataka region of Hubli were linked to LeT and HuJI elements in Saudi Arabia.
