‘Most of my wealth came from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’: Hina Khan tells Elvish Yadav why Rajan Shahi paid better than Ekta Kapoor

During the conversation, Elvish Yadav was seen asking Hina Khan and her husband, Rocky Jaiswal, some fun questions. When he asked Hina, which producer from Rajan Shahi or Ekta Kapoor did Hina make the most money from, the actress said, “I did Naagin for a short period, with Ekta Kapoor, I did Komolika’s role in Kasautii for 6-7 months. If you discuss money, it was definitely Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. I did the show for 8 years, so meri jitni sampatti hai has mostly come from Yeh Rishta. But after that, I have worked a lot, but Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai played a big part.”

Hina Khan’s career

In 2008-09, Hina Khan made her debut on Indian television as Akshara on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. While the show saw immense success, Hina’s character in the show also became very popular. While she was at the peak of her career, within a few years of the show streaming, Hina decided to quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after 8 years. Soon after the Rajan Shahi show, the actress appeared on Bigg Boss 11, where she became the first runner-up.

Hina also participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi before she made a small appearance in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin. After Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of the most talked about characters for Hina was when she played Komolika in Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. While the actress also worked in a few films and web series, her professional journey hit a temporary roadblock after Hina was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The actress took a brief sabbatical for her treatment and resumed work within a few months. Her last appearance on TV was in the show Pati, Patni, Aur Panga. Ahead of the show, Hina also married her beau, Rocky Jaiswal, in June 2025.
