Tata Comm net loss jumps to Rs 261 cr

On standalone basis,the company posted 51.76 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 38.2 crore for Q4,as against Rs 25.17 crore in the same period last year.

Consolidated income from operations,however,increased in Q4 to Rs 3,961.28 crore,from Rs 3,068.83 crore for the same quarter in the 2010-11 fiscal,the company said.

It has posted net loss of Rs 794.65 crore for 2011-12,as compared to Rs 776.9 crore in the previous fiscal.

Income from operations in 2011-12 was Rs 14,196.05 crore from Rs 11,931.99 crore for the preceding fiscal.

The board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs 2 per share for the financial year 2011-12,Tata Comm said.

Shares of the company were trading 0.89 per cent higher at Rs 204.75 on the BSE in the morning trade.
