JEE Session 1 Schedule 2026 Revised: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a minor change in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam schedule. Earlier on January 8, the NTA issued the exam city-slip on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the updated schedule, the first session is set to be held between January 21 and 29, 2026, and the next session will be held between April 2 and 9, 2026.

Initially, an advisory released on October 19 had said that the first session will be held from January 21 to 30 and the second session of JEE Main 2026 will be conducted from April 1 to 10.

The JEE Main Paper 2 or the 2A BArch, Paper 2B BPlanning or Paper 2A and 2B both will all be held on January 30. The JEE Main paper 2 will be held only in one shift from 9 am to 12.30 pm).

The JEE Main paper 1 or the BE and BTech paper will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28. The JEE Main paper 1 will be held in two shifts – one in the morning (9 am to 12 noon) and second in the afternoon (3 pm to 6 pm).

To access the city slip, candidates will be required to enter their application number along with their password, date of birth and the security pin displayed on the screen.

As mentioned in the official information bulletin, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards are likely to be released by the second week of January 2026. The January session of the JEE Main 2026, scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to January 29, 2026, will be held across multiple shifts and centres in India and abroad.

To download the JEE Main 2026 admit card, candidates can visit the official NTA JEE website and click on the link for the Session 1 hall tickets. After entering the required login credentials and submitting the details, the admit card will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to download the document and keep a printed copy for reference.

JEE Main 2026 will follow a similar pattern as previous years, with two sessions. The first session will take place from January 21 to 30, 2026, and the second session will be from April 2 to 9, 2026. JEE Main consists of two papers: Paper 1 (for BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (for BArch/BPharm). A notice released on October 19 had initially stated that the second session would be from April 1 to 10, 2026.
