With the summer here,Kareena Kapoor is busy building up her collection of sunglasses. Known to be one who takes her style quotient seriously,the glamorous actress has been hoarding some of the best shades on global fashion shelves. Dior,Gucci,D&G,Ralph Lauren,Prada,and DKNY top her favourites list. But Bebo’s recent shopping trip has apparently rounded the number of sunglasses she owns to a cool 300. Well,we wonder if she’s saved the ones from her childhood too.

A filmi hubby

Lara Dutta,who makes her debut as a producer along with her husband Mahesh Bhupathi with Chalo Dilli,says the tennis star is very ‘filmi’ and has an eye for cinema. “Mahesh may look sports-oriented but he is very filmi. He has a good sense of cinema. He watches movies from the point of view of an audience…ke mere paisa vasool ho raha hai ke nahi….mujhe entertainment mil raha hai ke nahi (whether the money I put for the movie ticket is worth or not and am I getting entertainment value from the film or not),” said the former Miss Universe. She also added that while she was involved in the creative aspect of Chalo Dilli,Mahesh was looking into the business angle.

Double Dhamaal

The boy-gang of Double Dhamaal actually had dhamaal on the sets of the film. Generally when Sanjay Dutt is on the sets,it is fun time. However,this time it was the new gadget that he brought over to work. It’s a well-known fact that Sanju has a passion for latest gadgets and equipments. He recently purchased a Segway that he takes with him in his vanity van,wherever he goes for shoots. One can only imagine what a riot it must have been on the sets of Double Dhamaal when the rest of the cast got their hands on this pollution-free,battery operated vehicle. The boys,including Arshad Warsi,Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaffri and even director Inder Kumar,were constantly arguing over who gets to ride the Segway the most. It was mainly Ashish Choudhary who rode the vehicle the most and soon became a pro. He will definitely be the right choice to endorse the Segway in India!

Stop,the Light is Orange

Sushmita Sen is a woman of great passions,whether it is raising awareness for the cause of the girl child or trying to work on a doomed project like her Rani Lakshmibai movie,she gives it her all. As she’s said time and again,she’s a ‘giver’. Similarly,she says,her I Am She Foundation,which grooms young Indian beauties for the global stage,is guided by a spirit of giving. We are willing to believe that,especially since it seems that in that same charitable spirit,Sush has given away her wardrobe to charity. Why else would she turn up at the opening of her fund-raising art show at the Viewing Room in Colaba,Mumbai,dressed in what looked like gift-wrapping paper in a blinding shade of orange. There’s even a giant bow at her waist to complete the look. It makes us wonder if,before grooming her young ladies,Sush shouldn’t spend a little more time on herself.

Living it up

Esha Deol,who was filming with Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna for Tell Me Oh Khudha in Goa,fondly remembers an incident when they were all shooting in Goa. Presuming that both the senior actors were too old,the young crowd,which included Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal,did not invite them when they went partying after the day’s shoot. “But both Rishi and Vinod uncle insisted on coming to the shacks where we were heading for a party. Surprisingly they had a blast eating,drinking and making merry. When it was time to leave and return to the hotel,which was only a few minutes away,they said they could not move and wanted a car. And even though we tried to coax them to walk,they simply refused and finally we had to arrange for a car to take them back,” chuckled Esha.
