Promos of two new shows called Glee and White Collar are currently playing on Star World. However,a thorough glance at them reveals striking similarities between their two on-air shows. Glee seems to be a sanitised version of 90210 while White Collar bears a striking resemblance to Castle. Consider the facts,Glee is a musical drama that focusses on a high school choir at the fictional William McKinley High School in Ohio. 90210,on the other hand,features rich brats studying at the West Beverly Hills High and focusses on issues about love,betrayal and acceptance,themes that are likely to feature in Glee too. White Collar features a con artist helping an FBI detective to solve crime,almost similar to Castles plotline that features a crime writer helping a detective to nab criminals. English channels suffering from content crisis seem to have found the solution by showing similar shows to keep retain eyeballs. However,they would do well to adhere to the adage that says familiarity breeds contempt.

Chand8230; in place of Sajan8230;
After delivering two hit shows in Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus,Rajan Shahi is now gearing up to launch his third serial Chand Chupa Badal Mein,a love story with newcomers Neha Sargam and Abhishek Tiwari. The serial is slated to air at 8 pm replacing the ongoing Sajan Ghar Jana Hai from this month end. Sajan8230; despite changing storylines and Barkha Bishts different avatars has not been able to garner TRPs. As for Chand.. given Rajans track-record on the channel,one can expect it to arouse curiousity and lure viewers.
