Venerable Scottish blened whiskey brand,The Famous Grouse,is attempting to create history by entering the Guinness World Book of Records. The company will create the worlds largest whiskey bottle,which will contain 200 litres of the celebrated spirit,and aims to launch it on August 12.The date

is significant to the company as it was on the same date in 1905 that its founder,Matthew Gloag,re-branded his company to form The Famous Grouse. The current record for the worlds largest whiskey bottle is held by American brand Jack Daniels,which released a 184-litre bottle last year.
