Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Tuesday expressed willingness to engage in a training programme for intelligence gathering and combat training with US security agencies.
During a meeting with US Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano,Chavan said considering the terror threat and changing international events,the state government was keen to co-operate with the US in homeland security.
Chavan made a presentation,detailing intelligence and coastal policing methods adopted after 26/11. The state has started an intelligence training academy in Pune.
