Running coalition govt difficult,don8217;t know how PM does it: Shinde

Instead of administration,something else was going on in Jharkhand. It is the only state where governments dont function at all, Shinde said while justifying the Centres decision. It is extremely difficult to run a coalition government. In fact,how Manmohan Singh is managing to do this with success is exemplary. There are problems every five minutes. It requires a lot of will power to run a coalition government, Shinde said.

Jharkhand was placed under the Presidents rule,for the third time since its creation 12 years ago,last month after the Arjun Munda government was reduced to a minority following withdrawal of support by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

Shinde denied the Centre was playing politics in Jharkhand. We want democracy to function there. But the state cannot be left to suffer because coalition governments are unable to sort out contradictions, he said. Shinde said the Governor had tried for three days to resolve the political crisis before recommending Presidents rule.
