Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday gave credit for the partys good show in the Lok Sabha elections to her son and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi and the good work of our Government. Rahuls contribution helped us get such good majority, Sonia said while addressing Congress workers at a function in Rae Bareli. The 2009 elections have been historic because we have been able to beat anti-incumbency across the country. It happened only because of the good work of our Government,be it the NREGS,health schemes,schemes for women empowerment etc, she said. Sonia was on a thanksgiving visit to her constituency from where she won by over three lakh votes. Daughter Priyanka accompanied her and Sonia acknowledged her contribution as well.
