The Common Law Admission Test CLAT-2009,scheduled to be held on May 17,has been cancelled due to tampering of seals of boxes carrying the test question papers from Hyderabad to Lucknow.

Sources at NALSAR University of Law,the CLAT organising university, said on Wednesday that two locked and sealed steel boxes containing the CLAT-2009 test material have been tampered deliberately by breaking the latches and the locks while the boxes were in transit from Hyderabad to Lucknow through Blue Dart Courier services. On examination,it was reported by the Registrar,RMLNLU,Lucknow that it seemed to be a case of deliberate tampering. The CLAT-2009 for undergraduate and postgraudate courses would not be held on May 17,2009 as scheduled earlier. The new date for CLAT-2009 will be announced shortly on the CLAT website.

The candidates shall retain the hall tickets already despatched to them and they shall use the same in the rescheduled CLAT-2009,the university authorities said.
