Pt. Shivkumar Sharmas ouevre released

Saregama India has released a premium 18-CD pack of santoor maestro Pt. Shivkumar Sharma. The Complete Works is a tribute to this Complete Artiste and is a collection of the entire works recorded by the musician for Saregama. Saregama had earlier released a similar album of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi in a 14-CD pack.

The album gives the listener a great insight into the many facets of the music of these legends,and it is Saregamas humble tribute to these artistes. We intend to come up with more such projects in future says Apurv Nagpal,MD,Saregama India.

This collection of Pandit Shivkumar Sharmas recordings goes back to the days of the 78 RPM and covers a span of 43 years 1955 to 1998. It includes various recordings like solo,Jugalbandis,Dhuns,live concerts and other works.
