Visiting Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Lawrence Cannon on Wednesday said intelligence agencies of India and Canada will work closely on files dealing with terror activities but there will be no offer in the Tahawwur Rana case beyond due process.

Canada does not need to go beyond what needs to be done in that case, Cannon told The Indian Express. Asked about Canadian cooperation with US authorities in the Rana-Headley case,he said Canada works closely and quite extensively with a lot of countries on a global basis. We work extensively with a lot of countries that are worried of terrorist activities.

He said Canada had outlawed a number of terrorist organisations including the LeT in 2004. We share expertise and we want to be able to continue on that route…. we have a structure that allows us to share with Indian authorities on terrorist threats and we will continue,if not increase, the pace of information sharing, he said.
