Nishank to arrive today

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokriyal Nishank is set to arrive here on Saturday and sources said the BJP top brass would discuss with him the blueprint for leadership change in the state bound for polls.

Veteran leader B C Khanduri is emerging as the strongest possible replacement after a party meeting here Friday. While those close to Nishank said the topic of leadership change had not been broached with him yet,the Khanduri camp said change was imminent.

An overwhelming majority is said to be in favour of change,although Sushma Swaraj and Tawarchand Gehlot did have some reservations. The BJP does not expect much resistance from Nishank as he doesn’t have much support among MLAs.
