Nisha Rajagopal wins first Hindu Saregama Subbulakshmi award

The jury comprising renowned Carnatic singer Sangeeta Kalanidhi Vedavalli,eminent journalist and playwright Gowri Ramnarayan and musician and composer Sri Rajkumar Bharati were also felicitated on the occasion. “We chose Nisha P Rajagopal for her excellence as a young artist with a radiant voice,her commitment to an impeccable tradition and to the values of classicism,while fulfilling the demands of performing classical Carnatic music in this contemporary milieu”,said Gouri.
