Narendra Modi,the poet

With the party in turmoil,BJP leaders are looking at various ways to engage in creative pursuits. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi,who took to blogging some months back,seems to have turned to poetry if the latest post on his blog narendramodi.com is anything to go by. Modi,who had so far restricted himself to politics,nation-building,and Gujarat on his blog,has now written a long poem in Gujarati. An English translation,too,is available on the website,with compassion,empathy,pain and sensitivity underlining the theme. The last stanza of the signed poem reads: I am not a poet. I am only an admirer of poetry. Ever finding joy in devotion,worship and words.
