Taking a review meeting on the accomplishments of the National Highways Authority of India NHAI,road transport and highways minister Kamal Nath said that non-performers in the public sector undertaking would be struck off the rolls. In a cautionary note to employees,the minister said while poor performers involved in land acquisition process would be removed from the NHAI roll,good work would be appreciated. According to officials who attended the meeting today,the ministers warning has come as a wake-up call for bad performers. However,officials said land acquisition was a tedious and time-consuming process,and such a move might not actually work.
