LeapFrog invests Rs 670 mn Shriram Gr

Shriram's financial services provide insurance and investment products to emerging consumer market.

Insurance and financial services focused fund LeapFrog Investments has invested 670 million rupees in Shriram Group’s financial services business,the two firms said on Wednesday.

Shriram’s financial services arm provide savings,insurance and investment products to the low-income and emerging consumer market in India,a segment the fund said it was keen on tapping.

US- based LeapFrog wants to invest up to 1.8 billion rupees in Indian companies that underwrite or distribute insurance,according to the statement.
