Another complaint against Saxena

CHENNAI: Police on Saturday filed another case against Sun Pictures chief operating officer Hansraj Saxena,following a complaint by Tamil producer T D Raja,taking the total number of cases against him to 10. Police slapped cheating and extortion charges on Saxena and his aide Ayyappan,both are alreday in prison,and two others. Raja lodged a complaint alleging that he was forced to sell the satellite rights of his film Vallakottai for Rs 70 lakh though Sun TV had initially offered him Rs 1.25 crore,a police release said.

Girls gangraped in Ahmedabad,UP

AHMEDABAD/MAHARAJGANJ: A 20 year-old aspiring model was allegedly raped by two persons in Ahmedabad,police said on Saturday. After a dispute with one Kajal,the girl was raped by his friend Mayur and one of his accomplices, they said. In a similar incident at Farenda in UPs Maharajganj, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by three men when she went to a jungle for fire wood,police said.

Minor gangraped,commits suicide

Lakhimpur: A minor girl committed suicide after she was allegedly gangraped by her teacher and five others at Chhitaunia village in UPs Lakhimpur village on July 10,the police said on Saturday. In her suicide note,the girl said she was beaten by the public after she reported the incident.

TDP student leader killed in Andhra

VIJAYWADA: The chief of Telugu Desam Partys student wing,Telugu Nadu Student Federation,Vadlamudi Mohan, was murdered by unidentified persons in Vijaywada,police said on Saturday. TDP leader V Vamsi Mohan alleged Mohan was killed by political rivals.

MEERUT: UP Chief Minister Mayawati has directed a senior police officer to investigate the case of the alleged abduction of a Meerut municipal councilor8217;s wife,police said. BJP8217;s Brijesh Tyagi8217;s wife Suman was allegedly abducted in Machhra village on June 27 while on her way to her clinic in Kithaur.
