JSPL Q3 standalone net up 54 pct

JSPL reported 54.14 pct standalone net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31 at Rs 501.93 cr.

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd JSPL reported 54.14 per cent standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31 at Rs 501.93 crore on higher sales.

The Navin Jindal-led firm had reported Rs 325.62 crore net profit in the October-December quarter last fiscal,it said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE.

JSPL8217;s total income during the third quarter of current fiscal stood at Rs 2,410.23 crore vis-a-vis 1,780.44 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

The scrip of the compamy was trading at Rs 699.25 a share at the BSE at 15.45 today,up by 0.04 per cent over previous day8217;s closing.
