Joshi flip-flop

Former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi on Wednesday said the timing of the presentation of the Liberhan Commission report was intriguing and that the report must be tabled in Parliament at the earliest. I dont know whether it goes in favour or against8230; but one thing is certain that the timing of presenting the report is intriguing, he said,adding that the government must take action on it immediately and place it before Parliament.

Later in the day,he modified his observations when he said he wouldnt say anything on the matter unless he had read or seen the report. At a press conference organised about a meet on NDA education ministers,he refused to utter a word on the issue. On questions ranging from his observations on the Liberhan panel to speculation over him supposedly having been indicted by the panel when others supposedly got away lightly,Joshi said: I cannot comment anything on the subject unless I have read or seen the report.
