HSI ends near 2-week closing high

Hong Kong stocks hit their highest close in nearly two weeks on Tuesday.

Hong Kong stocks hit their highest close in nearly two weeks on Tuesday,led by financial,consumer and airline counters as investors bet that China will allow the yuan to appreciate,boosting the outlook for those sectors.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index ended up 0.65 percent at 21,374.79. The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks closed up 1.63 percent at 12,414.20.
