Gaza-bound group stopped at Attari

A group of 48 persons heading for Gaza was not allowed to cross over to Pakistan at the Attari border checkpost as the authorities said they did not have permission to cross the border on foot.

The delegation was heading for Gaza on foot to observe the anniversary of Israels offensive on Gaza Strip in

December last year. The all India secretary of the organisers,New Trade Union Initiative,Chander Mohan,said the delegates,including those from Japan and Iran,had come under the banner of Asian Solidarity Caravan for Palestine Cause.
