Infrastructure firm Gammon India reported 20 per cent decline in its net profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30,at Rs 46 crore due to tax provisions of Rs 17 crore.
The company had reported a net profit after tax of Rs 56 crore in the same quarter last fiscal,a company statement said.
The net profit for the quarter declined after taking into account the extra tax provisions of Rs 17 crore made,it said.
8220;We are pleased with the positive signs emerging on the national economic front,8221; CMD Gammon India Abhijit Rajan said. The order book of the company as on June 2010 stands at Rs 15,000 crore.
