You loved their parents,now you get to welcome the next generation too. With high-profile films in their kitty and big banners launching them,these newcomers are bound to garner maximum attention from the media. Heres the count.

Student Of The Year,Karan Johars campus love-story launches Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The film top-lines veteran Rishi Kapoor. Daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan,Alia is rumoured to have just completed her high-school exams. As for David Dhawans son Varun,the young lad is quite a looker. Though it comes as a surprise that neither filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and David Dhawan will be launching their own progeny on screen. Itll be interesting to watch the chemistry between Alia and Varun,especially after rumours of them being an off-screen couple too.

Hema Malinis and Dharmendras younger daughter Ahana Deol will most likely make her debut in Viacom 18s romantic film to be directed by Shoojit Sircar.

Boneys and Mona Kapoors son Arjun may prove to be a chip off the Anil Kapoor block. Signed originally for Virus Diwan by Y Films,the youth wing of Yash Raj Films,the actor moved over to Ishaqzaade after the former launch-pad was aborted by the banner. His co-star will be Parineeti Chopra who impressed us with her acting prowess in her debut film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Arjun,who knocked off over 20 kilos to shape up for his big-screen debut,plays a small-town boy in this film. It is interesting to note that both Ahana and Arjun are not being launched by their home banners. Though Ahana was trying out other professions direction and textile designingArjun has assisted on movies like Kal Ho Naa Ho and his fathers films No Entry and Wanted.

Among the other filmi kids,actor Rati Agnihotris son Tanuj Virwani will make his debut in Luv U Soniyo,a typical love story and a safe launch,while Shakti Kapoors son Siddhant will start his career in a negative role in Sanjay Guptas Shootout At Wadala.

Foreign import

Katrina Kaif has paved the way for mainstream acceptance of actresses with an overseas connection or foreign roots. British model Amy Jackson 19 makes her debut opposite Prateik in Gautham Menons Ek Deewana Tha,the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. She has already worked down South in the Tamil film Madrasapattinam and is training in Hindi. If things work out,porn star Sunny Leone,who is based overseas and was a part of Colors reality show Bigg Boss,will make her debut in Jism 2 directed by Pooja Bhatt.

Model debuts

All bets also are on Bhatts latest muse Esha Gupta,a model,who is cast opposite Emraan Hashmi in Jannat 2. The dusky bombshell is often referred to as the desi Angelina Jolie in the modelling world. Not far behind,is another good-looking model,Siddharth Malhotra,a Delhi boy,who joins Alia and Varun as the third new find in Student Of The Year.

Southern beauties

With names like Genelia DSouza,Asin and Kajal Aggarwal in recent years,there is a revival of the craze for Southern actresses in Hindi cinema. Telugu actress Tapsee Pannu makes her Hindi debut in the remake of Chashme Buddoor directed by David Dhawan. The actor,who is paired opposite Ali Zafar,will reprise Deepti Navals role from the original. Popular Telugu actress Ileana DCruz,who starred in superhits like Pokkiri and Kick,makes her Hindi debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Barfii. Ileana ,who has many South hits to her credit,will be seen ageing from 19 to 65 years in the film. Another actress,Mohan Babus daughter Lakshmi Manchu,will be seen in Department co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan.

Hema Malinis and Dharmendras younger daughter Ahana plans to follow her parents footsteps and is slated to make her Bollywood debut in Viacom 18s romantic comedy,which will be directed by Shoojit Sircar. Ahana,who first wanted to become a director and then a fashion designer,has also included acting in her profile.
