Federal bank net profit rises 12.5%

The bank's net profit during the corresponding period year earlier was at Rs 191.16 crore.

Federal Bank today said its net profit in the second quarter ended September,30 grew by 12.5 per cent to Rs 215.10 crore from the year-ago period.

The bank’s net profit during the corresponding period (July-September) a year earlier was at Rs 191.16 crore,it said in a BSE filing.

The total income of the bank increased to Rs 1,665.04 crore in the September quarter from Rs 1,487.70 crore in the same period in 2011-12 fiscal,it said.

Shares of the bank had ended at Rs 482.20 apiece on BSE on Friday,down 0.07 per cent from previous close.
