Election panel move to avoid impersonation

The Election Commission has ordered the preparation of the list of absentees,shifted and duplicate ASD electors for each polling station to be kept at all polling stations to stop the impersonation of these voters. In a letter to the chief electoral officers of all poll-bound states,EC Secretary Sumit Mukherjee said it had been observed that the names of dead,shifted and absentee electors continued to appear in the electoral rolls,leading to impersonation. The letter has directed that the electors whose names appear in the ASD list will have to provide EPIC or other photo documents.
